This project experience includes a short 2-3 Day exercise followed up by a longer final project that teaches the creative process steps, visual literacy, and composition among other visual art concepts in an easy to understand package.

It includes:

  • A Private Video link to a tutorial on how to make a simple 3-5 move collage along with some best practices suggestions. 2 examples are made in the video.
  • A downloadable Handout that includes requirements and extensions to help guide students towards making a high quality collage work of art, which includes a few student examples.
  • A Private Video link to a Composition Crash Course for any visual medium.
  • A Public Link to a Principles of Design Video.

I use these materials and exercises with all of my foundation classes in Drawing/Painting, Design, and Photography.
